Si sfata un mito; Windows ha maggiori problemi di compatibilità hardware di Linux?
I pregiudizi sono duri a morire, anche perchè spesso nascono da "giudizi" che sono durati troppo a lungo per essere cancellati.
Uno di questi è il fatto che Linux abbia problemi di compatibilità con i diversi hardware in circolazione rispetto a Windows.
Ed ecco quindi che crn.com ci informa che dai suoi test, tutte le prove fatte con Vista, la prossima versione di Windows, hanno mostrato problemi di compatibilità, portando spesso alla scelta di dover ignorare alcune periferiche.
Mentre Linux, nella versione Novell Suse Enterprise Desktop 10, si è comportato decisamente meglio, e in aggiunta consentiva la possibilità di scaricare gli aggiornamenti dei driver direttamente da Internet.
Stiamo parlando comunque di versioni di sistemi operativi che dovrebbero arrivare tra un pò, e quindi c'è ancora tempo perchè questi problemi siano risolti, ma è ancora un ulteriore importante elemento che si aggiunge alla lista di motivi per cui non ha più senso usare i sistemi operativi della Microsoft.

Microsoft has promised that the driver issues will be resolved by the time Vista is released to manufacturing."
